Our City | The World

We recognize that God has commissioned our church to reach out to our city and the world.

We are grateful that God has placed us in Delaware. Situated on the I-95 corridor, we are surrounded by 500,000+ people in our county alone. We realize that our influence as a church should extend to our neighbors. Our neighbors include many local neighborhoods, the city of Newark, the University of Delaware, and even the areas surrounding Wilmington. Having been strategically placed, we believe God has a unique mission for using Ogletown to reflect His glory in this area.

With this in mind,

We Tell – We recognize our individual responsibilities of Christians to tell the story of Jesus Christ and to share the hope of good news.
We Serve – We serve our community as individuals, as groups, and sometimes as an entire church.  Through our food pantry and our deacon benevolence fund, we also help those who are in need, especially those in our congregation.
We Invite – Part of our faith in God is expressed to others is through our gatherings as a church body.  Because of this, we actively seek to invite our neighbors and friends to visit Ogletown.
We Partner – We are grateful to partner with our denomination, as well as many local evangelical ministries such as Urban Promise, Sunday Breakfast Mission, and A Door of Hope.  We host a Ukranian church that meets in our facilities on Sunday afternoon.  We also are grateful to partner with many other area churches to share Christ's love.

We Go – Through our partnerships with other missionaries, we extend Christ's message by going on mission trips.
We Send – In recent years, we have had the privilege of sending missionaries to West Africa, West Asia, and Nicaragua.  We also partner in sending out a large number of missionaries through the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.
We Give – A portion of our giving goes to support local and international work to spread the gospel.  In addition, throughout the year we receive mission offerings to reach the nations.
We Pray – In our gatherings as well as in our home, we make it a practice to pray for those who are taking the message of Christ to those who have never heard.
