Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered ministry designed to help people recover from relational Hurts. People who are hurting develop certain Hang up’s and Habits to protect themselves from Hurts. Hurts happen with issues such as Abandonment, Abuse, Abortion, Addiction, Adultery, Alcohol, Ambition, Anxiety, Anger, Attitudes, and these are only the A’s. What about Betrayal, Bitterness, Blame, etc?

The purpose of OBC’s Celebrate Recovery ministry is to help people know the healing power of Jesus Christ through the 8 Recovery Principles and a 12 step program designed to walk people through the  process of recovery. We open the doors by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God´s grace in solving our lives´ problems. By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.

Our Meetings

Celebrate Recovery meets Thursday evenings in the OEX at 6:45pm. If you know anyone hurting from dysfunctional relationships, please encourage them to attend. Meetings will include worship, teaching, and small group break-out times to discuss individual issues.

For more information regarding this ministry, please contact ministry leader, Al Demers.
